Google, the owners of Youtube, are now violating their own rules concerning advertisements shown BEFORE a video starts.

Previously, there had to be the word "Advertisement" visible on screen - although not necessarily in English or any language that you could reasonably expect in your particular country.
This is no longer the case with Greek advertisements. (Each country gets it's own selection of crap!)

Also previously, there was an option to "SKIP AD" after a countdown of five seconds - which actually took more like thirty seconds.
That no longer appears so we have to sit through several minutes of advertising.

As a result, we don't always know if what we are watching is the original content or an advertisement.

All of you paying for youtube views are probably not getting the correct amount of views, nor earning from the generated advertising. You need to complain to Youtube! But of course you can't because Google doesn't have any humans ready to receive complaints!
So make and post a new video about your complaint directly on Youtube.

Or, better still, post your work elsewhere!

As an update to the above, it seems that some computer magazines have also noticed this. They are blaming this on "adblocker software" installed on your computer that Google is trying to defeat. Saying in effect that only if you have an ad blocker, will you see this nastiness.
Now this is absolute nonsense! There is no way that anyone, including the mighty Google, can tell if you have certain software installed or not.
Additionally, in my case, I have no such software installed so the magazine claims are entirely false.

It only shows that Google has no morals left at all, and these computing magazines have no idea what they are talking about, or are in Google's pocket!
